Resources for Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs)
We’ve partnered with CACs to develop resources that support practitioners and help child victims of abuse.
Resources for CAC Teams
These resources, which include informational fact sheets, video interviews, screening tools, and conversation scripts, are designed for advocates and health professionals at Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) — from nurses to police officers to concerned parents. Our goal is to support these professionals and caregivers so they can better serve the families and victims of abuse.
The resources combine the expertise of CAC professionals serving young victims of abuse with the knowledge and work of science-based researchers and academics at Culture Reframed. They include a focus on resources to help address the increasing incidence of child-on-child sexual abuse, specifically as it relates to pornography exposure.
These standardized protocols to address pornography’s effect on child sexual abuse are designed to fill a resource gap and support CACs and others as they care for children experiencing abuse. This new and innovative approach to addressing child sexual abuse incorporates an understanding and response to the harms of pornography exposure.
