January 2025: Celebrating 10 Years of Creating a Safe Digital World for Youth

Culture Reframed is the premier science-based, global organization working to stop the emotional, behavioral, and sexual harms of pornography to children and youth. Join our online community to receive updates on our work, announcements of upcoming events, and the latest news related to pornography and youth.

This year marks 10 years since I founded Culture Reframed. I view its founding as the culmination of my work over thirty years, focused on raising awareness about the impact of pornography on our culture.

Reflecting on an entire decade of advocating for a culture that protects children from the harms of pornography, I could not be more proud of my team and our community of supporters who have believed in our mission—even before the porn crisis conversation reached the mainstream.

In these 10 years, the digital landscape has changed dramatically—more than we could have imagined—but our team has risen to the challenge. We’ve conducted cutting-edge research, launched multiple free courses for parents, educators, and professionals, and uplifted the voices and work of our dedicated community.

Your role in reframing the conversation around porn is invaluable, and we are grateful to have you by our side. We hope you benefit from the resources and information shared in this month’s newsletter and continue to join the conversation to create a future where young people can thrive.

— Dr. Gail Dines
Founder & CEO, Culture Reframed

Navigating the Digital World with Preschoolers

Parents and caregivers face emerging digital safety challenges as young children grow up using phones, televisions, tablets, and other devices. The reality of early online use reinforces the importance of helping children develop healthy digital media skills at a young age. This proactive approach can help build a child’s resilience to pornography before they first encounter it. Our latest report offers data-driven guidelines on digital safety and screen time, and age-appropriate conversations for parents and caregivers of young children, especially those ages 4 to 6.
