Erica Merrill
Program Assistant
Erica Merrill joined Culture Reframed in the summer of 2026, bringing several years of
experience serving children, youth, and families through nonprofit organizations and Child
Advocacy Centers. Her work has included forensic interviewing, victim advocacy, and family
support for individuals impacted by child abuse, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, human
trafficking, maltreatment, and other traumatic experiences. As a trauma-informed professional,
Erica is passionate about supporting survivors, promoting healing, and helping communities
address the growing impact of pornography and trauma on youth and families. She holds a
Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Sociology from
Concord University.
Dedicated to serving both her local community and broader audiences, Erica is committed to
addressing the effects of trauma, fostering resilience and hope, and helping prevent future harm
through education, advocacy, and support. Outside of her professional work, Erica enjoys
cooking and baking, hiking and long walks, and spending time by the river roasting s’mores.
