Program Assistant

Erica Merrill joined Culture Reframed in the summer of 2026, bringing several years of experience serving children, youth, and families through nonprofit organizations and Child Advocacy Centers. Her work has included forensic interviewing, victim advocacy, and family support for individuals impacted by child abuse, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking, maltreatment, and other traumatic experiences. As a trauma-informed professional, Erica is passionate about supporting survivors, promoting healing, and helping communities address the growing impact of pornography and trauma on youth and families. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Sociology from Concord University.

Dedicated to serving both her local community and broader audiences, Erica is committed to addressing the effects of trauma, fostering resilience and hope, and helping prevent future harm through education, advocacy, and support. Outside of her professional work, Erica enjoys cooking and baking, hiking and long walks, and spending time by the river roasting s’mores.
