March 2026: Equipping Communities to Combat the Porn Crisis
Culture Reframed is the premier science-based, global organization working to stop the emotional, behavioral, and sexual harms of pornography to children and youth. Join our online community to receive updates on our work, announcements of upcoming events, and the latest news related to pornography and youth.
Earlier this month, our team led a series of community presentations on the harms of pornography on young people, including conversations with high school students.
This marks an important milestone for our organization. We’re extending our reach beyond parents and professionals to speak directly to the young people who are navigating pornified culture. We were encouraged by the level of student engagement and are grateful for their willingness to share and to help us better understand how their lives are being shaped by the onslaught of pornography through porn sites and social media platforms.
In this month’s newsletter, we feature an interview with Katie Ramsay, a young content creator and activist known for challenging the porn industry. Through her work—and her hundreds of thousands of followers—she’s helping shift the conversation and providing other young people with the confidence to speak out.
As the newest member of the team and a co-facilitator of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC), it’s been exciting to be part of this new chapter. In the coming weeks, we’ll open applications for new YAC participants. We’re also currently hiring for a full-time Program Assistant. If you or someone you know is interested in either of these opportunities, you can learn more on our website!

Challenging Porn Culture: Katie Ramsay on Youth, Consent, and the Digital Age
For many young people today, pornography isn’t something hidden behind a paywall or stumbled upon accidentally—it’s woven into the cultural landscape, shaping conversations about sex, relationships, and identity from an early age.
Katie Ramsay, a content creator with more than 230,000 YouTube subscribers to her channel @Katiclyzm, has become one of a growing number of young voices questioning that influence. Through her videos and online platforms, she offers a critical analysis of pornography’s harmful cultural and social impact, examining its influence on mainstream media, intimacy, youth sexualization, and violence against women. Read our conversation with Katie about what inspired her to speak out, what she’s learned from her hundreds of thousands of followers, and her goals for a healthier sexual culture.

Equipping Communities to Combat the Porn Crisis
Drs. Gail Dines and Mandy Sanchez recently spent a week on Martha’s Vineyard leading a community-wide initiative to equip students, families, educators, and health professionals with research-based tools to help young people build resilience to hypersexualized media and pornography.
Through engaging student assemblies and leadership sessions, educator trainings, and conversations with parents and community partners, they worked across the island to support youth well-being in the digital age from a public health perspective. Read more about how Culture Reframed’s outreach is strengthening and complementing local efforts in the Vineyard Gazette.
We are deeply grateful to the event organizers for their commitment to their students, our mission, and for making this trip possible; and to the school administrators and the broader community for welcoming us so warmly. Most of all, we want to thank the students for their courage, openness, and trust. Their willingness to share their experiences and perspectives was invaluable, and we learned so much from them.
We invite other communities to join us in reframing the culture. Visit the link to learn more about booking a Culture Reframed presentation.
